Pair of DJ/HJ Leistungsbuch's-This is a pair of books, one with a photo and many entries and one with just one entry. This is referred to as the Performance Booklet or Achievement Booklet and it was an official document issued to members of the Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend - HJ) and its affiliated organizations, such as the Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ) for boys or the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) for girls. It served as a personal record of a member's physical, ideological, and military-style training achievements. This one is for DJ/HJ members. The one with many entries and a photo was issued to Franz Josef ? born 26.3.1919 in Kaiserlautern. He joined the HJ in August of 1933 at age 14. There is a photo of him and there are entries up through October of 1936. Each book measures 4 ½' by 6 ½' and is in good condition!
