Named WWII Army Air Force 'Crusher' Cap

Available
$295.00

Description

The visor cap is constructed of a khaki tropical weight wool, with the body of the cap showing scattered small holes. The cap exhibits some spots and soiling. The interior celluloid sweat shield is toned with age. Beneath the sweat shield the cap is marked by the Dobbs firm. The leather sweatband is intact and it is marked to the Post Exchange at Turner Field in Albany, Georgia. The interior contains the card of David Stewart Cushman as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army. The visor of the cap is a thin, pliable, single piece of leather. The interior retains the size tag of 7-1/4 beneath the sweatband. Overall the cap makes a very good appearance.
