US WW2 Paratrooper M1Helmet - Part 1

Genuine M1 rear seam swivel bale helmet (c. end of 1944) shell. This is a standard non airborne M1 wartime produced helmet shell and does not have the additional press stud tabs ton the chinstrap that would usually attach to the liner. It is not with original paratrooper chin straps. Fitted to the is a nice original M1 para line by Seaman Paper Company. The liner its original OD green painted finish. The liner with its OD web liner but missing the leather sweatband. Fitted with original paratroop chinstrap configuration and leather chin cup. The 'S' maker mark found molded into the crown of the liner, identifying it as one of the manufacturers during the war and attributed to the Seaman Paper Company. The liner fits well to the Shell.Overall, whilst this is not a textbook example of a complete paratroop M1 helmet it is perfect for such a display at probably half the usual purchase price.
