Original WWI Belgian Notice Poster 'Paardenmonstering' – Lokeren – 1917 – 36 × 55 cm

An original First World War Belgian announcement poster titled 'Paardenmonstering' (Horse Inspection / Horse Muster), issued during the German occupation of Belgium. The poster announces that on 27 June 1917 at 7 p.m. a horse inspection would take place in Lokeren, requiring owners to present their animals for military evaluation.The notice instructs citizens to bring foals between one and three years old as well as all horses suitable for military service, including those that had not appeared at previous inspections held on 11 April and 9 May.
