Original period manufacture. Elegant gray topped visor hat with an Italian green wool band with two gold brocade stripes indicating the rank of Lieutenant. Gold wire embroidered hat insignia at front. White silk lining with a Rome makers label inside, wide brown leather sweatband showing old mildew staining from storage. No moth issues to report, just light age and wear.
