Japanese WWII Army Officers Visor Hat, Removable Cotton Cover

Original era manufacture. Dark olive green wool topped hat with a red wool band and piping. Gilt brass star on front with cherry blossom faced chinstrap buttons. Black patent leather chinstrap and visor. The body and band of the hat show a few moth bites but no large holes. The black oilcloth sweatband shows wear but no rips or tears, green silk lining with a white cotton diamond name tag. Lining shows wear and scattered tearing. At the time of our purchase a green cotton hat cover with red wool piping was on the hat. This is included. Scattered mothing to the piping.
