Veteran Bring Back Mit Hitler in Polen (With Hitler in Poland)-This book was brought home by a US soldier, who signed one of the inside pages with Sgt. J.H Sansbury, and dated it July 2, 1945. This is an interesting early propaganda book. This is a photo journal by Heinrich Hoffman. This book is exactly what you would expect based on the title, Hitler in Poland. It is chock full of pictures of the invasion of Poland. There are 96 pages with larger format black and white captioned photos on just about every one. It is a soft cover book and has its original dust cover. This dust cover shows moderate damage to the softcover, the first page, and the final pages in the back. The book was printed by F. Bruckmann KG., München with a copyright of 1939 for 'Zeitgeschichte-Verlag, Wilhelm Andermann, Berlin.' It of course contains photos by von Heinrich Hoffmann (Hitlers personal photographer and official photographer reporter for the Third Reich). There is a forward by Generaloberst Keitel. The book was published in 1939. This book measures approx. 7 ½ inches (19.05cm) by 11 inches (27.94cm). This is in what would be considered sound, if not in 'as found' condition. It is still readable, the cover is a bit of a mess, and the book itself is very delicate.
