- General Service Medal 1918-62. GVI 2nd issue & clasp 'Malaya' (22078981 Sgt. R. Halliday. R.A.P.C.)- Military LS&GC Medal. EIIR 2nd issue 'Regular Army' (22078981 W.O. Cl. 2. R. G. Halliday. RAPC.)Ralph Garnett Halliday was a native of Bingley, Yorkshire, England, where he was born, 23 July 1930. Ralph enlisted in the British Army in 1948 and was posted to the Royal Army Pay Corps. He was promoted Staff Quartermaster Sergeant on 1 February 1965, and was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 3 November 1966. Promoted Staff Sergeant Major on 2 March 1969, he was discharged on 23 January 1973 and died in York, England, 19 January 1997The medals mounted in the swing-style and as worn by the recipient. The medal ribands suspended from a white metal mounting bar which latter retains its long hinged pin & clasp fittingsSold together with some hard-copy research including a group photograph (see image attached in which the recipient is identified standing 3rd from right)Condition: GVF
