Vintage 1940s WWII US Navy WAVES grouping named to Louise E. Mosher. Grouping includes:Seersucker jacketSeersucker garrison capService hat (size 23) with white, seersucker and navy covers and the rain coverPatches: white and navy yeoman rate, pair of collar patches, 2 motor machinistPapers: poem on Navy leatherhead, cigar label, torn nametag, empty envelope for buttons, unemployment receipt from 1946Leather luggage tag with her name and US Navel Training SchoolSmall blue bags: one with clothes pins and line and the other with sewing pinsTwo pale yellow 'Flip-Top' BagsYeoman instruction book from 1938JACKET MEASUREMENTS (approximate):Bust- 39'Waist- 29 1/2'Length- 25 1/2'Sleeve(shoulder seam to end of cuff) - 24'JACKET:Seersucker jacket is in good condition with some light staining. A few small holes on the back. The buttons are held on with cotter pins and are easily removeable for cleaning. Stamped inside L. E. Mosher. Missing shoulder pads (some rust on the snaps). Wear on the inside pocket.HATS:Service hat is a size 23 and has the white, navy blue and seersucker covers. The covers all have initial LEM stamps. The white cover has some staining. The hat also has the rain cover (handwritten name on the WAVES tag). The rain cover is wrinkly and has overall wear. Seersucker garrison is in decent wearable shape. There is some light staining / discoloration (most noticeable in the front). Size tag is washed out. Hand written name on the WAVES label (a little hard to read).PATCHES:White and navy blue yeoman rate patches, pair of WAVES collar patches, two motor machinist patches. All have loose strings from when they were removed from uniforms.OTHER:The papers will be inside the small blue bag with the red button. Poem written on US Naval Training School stationary. Very delicate. Name tag torn in two. Cigar paper from Jamaica, empty envelope for uniform buttons (has a hole). Her unemployment receipt from May 1946. Leather luggage tag with her and and US Naval Training School Bronx NY as the address. The small blue bags show some wear. Two 'Flip-Top' (patented 1938) bags. I am unsure what purpose these serve. They have some staining and the plastic-y waterproof coating is tearing. Yeoman 2c Instruction book from 1938 in good condition.
