Description

German WWII Cased Iron Cross 1stClass-A handsome cased iron cross that retains the majority of its black finish to its iron core. It appears as though someone has deliberately removed the black finish from the swastika to make it stand out against the black. This gives this an interesting look. The silver frame is nicely toned to complement both the black finish and the bare swastika. The silver on the reverse is also intact and nicely toned. The pin setup functions as it should. This comes with its original black leatherette case that is also in good condition. The facsimile is embossed in gold on the top of the lid. There ismoderate damage to the bottom of the box. These look to be pin holes, please see photos. The white velvet bottom is recessed to fit the pin, under this you can see these pinholes go through the box itself. The underside of this is also marked with 2420 D&B. The underside of the top lid is white satin. This is in very good condition despite the holes on the bottom of the case.
