Al merito en campaña WW2 Spanish War Cross in Silver-The Spanish war cross was given to German Legion Condor volunteers for service in the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939). These were often worn by German personnel alongside the later instituted Spanish Cross. This medal features a guided cross affixed to a larger eight-sided toned silver star. You can see the rivets on the reverse. On the cross is a red, white, and blue enameled seal of the order. The enamel is excellent. The tone and details of the cross and star are also very good. The pin on the reverse is missing the catch and hinge are in place, but the pin is missing. This high military award of Spain recognizes bravery in combat and was given to Spanish and German combatants who took part in Spanish Civil War combat. A scarce badge in good condition, great for display.
