Description

These seem particularly popular with collectors as I suppose they are quite rare and unusual. This is a very nice example in virtually mint condition. The bright nickel plated hilt/crossguard is perfect with no lifting or wear. It has the original red felt plug in the mortice slot. There is no upswept quillion of course. The black chequered grip plates and perfect. It has all of the original factory black scabbard paint and a very nice parade frog. The long blade is in mint condition and has the makers name of . These bayonets were a marketing design change to attract more customers, but they didn't really catch on, so remain quite rare in toddy's collecting market.
