MG34 or MG42 ammunition box for use on a vehicle compartment (Patronenkasten 36). The box was suitable for a 150-round ammunition belt and was developed for use on armored vehicles. The box still retains its original paint and shows some rust and scratches from use. The box is nicely maker marked and dated 'brc 41', indicating production in 1941. This is the second box model with a spring-loaded closure. A fine example in good used condition!
