WWII Japanese Late War Type 95 NCO Sword by Nagoya Arsenal with Matching Numbers

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 39 inches, with a blade length of approximately 26 inches. The blade shows a gray cast with spots, scratches, and surface grime, but it is without nicks, chips, or active rust. The blade is numbered '213501', positioned to be read with the cutting edge of the blade facing upwards, indicating production by the Nagoya Arsenal. The same number appears on the surface of the scabbard throat. The tsuba guard is the plain solid iron variety. The wood grip exhibits age and minor scuffs, and the grip has a crack which runs approximately half the length of the grip on one side. The metal scabbard shows typical wear to the painted finish from use in the field, with surface grime and abrasions, but the scabbard is intact. Overall the sword is in good field used condition.
