Bulgarian Model 1910 Lion Head Field Marshal Sword with Etched Blade by Carl Eickhorn

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 40 inches, with a blade length of approximately 33 inches. The blade is etched on both sides, with one side having a statement in Cyrillic, while the opposite side displays the Imperial Bulgarian cypher. The ricasso displays the squirrel trademark of the Carl Eickhorn firm. The blade shows some scattered spots and scratches but overall it is quite clean and bright. The celluloid grip is without chips or cracks. The guard, knuckle bow, and lion head pommel all show a dark and uncleaned patina. The lion hear pommel contains faceted pink glass eyes. The plated scabbard exhibits patina and some surface dirt, but the finish is largely intact. Overall very good condition.
