DDR East German Oberst of Border Troops Uniform with Dagger

The uniform is comprised of the tunic, breeches, shirt and tie of an Oberst (Colonel) of the East German Border Troops (Grenztruppen), together with the brocade dress belt and army officer dagger. The tunic displays multiple awards as well as a graduation badge. The dress aiguillette is on the right shoulder. The interior bears issue stamps. The tunic, breeches, short and tie all show signs of wear and use, but they are without holes or damage. The breeches retain the issue suspenders. The brocade dress belt and the dagger are in excellent condition. The blade of the dagger is numbered. Overall the set is in very fine condition and it makes an impressive appearance.
