A scarce original pre-1947 period 'College of Midwives union pin badge'; silver plated example beariing embossed Pomegranate within 'C M' '1881' and motto 'VITA DONUM DEI' (Life is the Gift of God) blue enamel below scroll below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham'.
