A scarce original 'State Certified Midwife pin badge' silver plated blue enamel title surround bearing 'S.C.M' to the top and laurel wreath below; the centre depicting a symbolic figure of 'Juno Lucina' Roman goddess of childbirth; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Regent St Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with facility to attach a safety chain, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.Height approx 36mm.
