Named WWII U.S. Army Second Armored Division Tanker Jacket

The khaki cotton poplin jacket has a brown wool lining with a fully functional Crown zipper. The left shoulder bears a fully embroidered shoulder patch of the Second Armored Division, with olive drab border. The jacket has knit cuffs and a knit waistband, with the cuffs and waistband showing a few small holes and pulls, but being generally intact. The front placket has the handwritten name of 'Spaulding', with the stamped laundry mark of 'S-0588' and the written serial number of 'O-20588', indicating that the owner of the jacket was an officer. The jacket shows some subtle spots and surface soiling, but overall the jacket is in excellent service used condition and it makes a very fine appearance.
