DM34 Splendid Waffen-SS M40 single decal helmet

Splendid Waffen-SS M40 single decal helmet, top shelf example in gently used condition, showing just light wear inside and out with almost complete rough textured factory paint, there right side pin has a couple of scratches, the left side and rear pins show more chipping, the ET decal is ever so slightly tilted and with just traces of abrading, shell is stamped ET64, lot number 5166, the steel liner bands, pins and washers have not been tampered with and there is quite a bit of dust between bands and shell, the undamaged tan colored leather liner with its drawstring is marked size 56, the full length black leather chinstrap is embossed with its Wuppertal based maker information and what appears to read a 1940 date, seldom available in this condition, USD $16,500
