Description
Excellent Waffen-SS M42 single decal helmet, inner shell stamped at rear ckl66, lot number 2883, having steel liner bands with significant dust build up between them and shell, the liner pins have not been disturbed and all have their washers, the side pins are slightly loose, the tan colored leather liner is stamped size 58 and has a former owner's name penned at the wearer's right temple, its drawstring is still in place and it shows light chafing and staining from wear, the full length leather chinstrap is embossed with RBNr, the external rough textured surface has a light patina of wear with minor scratches but with almost all paint still intact, the SS runic decal is slightly tilted with slight abrading, superior example, USD $11,500
