Heer M36 style service blouse for a Heer Kavallerie Spiess, appealing example that must have been a favorite of its former owner, the base garment was manufactured in 1942 of early mid war quality field grey wool, it has the six button front which became a standard production feature beginning in 1941, the particular example was altered in the following ways - the issue collar was replaced with a dark green badge cloth covered collar having pointed tips, both shoulders and chest were slightly padded to improve its appearance in wear, the waist was taken in at each side seam, the skirt was shortened by a few centimeters with the lower pockets having had the bellows removed and being repositioned slightly upward on the skirt, each sleeve cuff was shortened by a couple of centimeters each, the lining and bandage pocket are of grey colored ribbed cotton, the size, P42 depot and maker stampings are applied in black ink, the bandage pocket, cuff and remaining collar liner buttons (none are applied to the replaced collar) are black glass and originally sewn, the front closure and pocket buttons are field grey painted pebbled zinc, the shoulder strap buttons are grey colored plastic, shoulder strap bridles are made of dark green badge cloth, the mounted Litzen collar patches have golden yellow colored Waffenfarbe and are machine applied to the collar, the metallic NCO Tresse at lower collar edge is machine sewn, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps have dark green badge cloth upper panels with field grey wool lowers and ribbed cotton tongue reinforcements, piping is rayon, the subdued metallic NCO Tresse is machine applied, each strap has two silver rank pips, one of the four is zinc while the others are aluminum, the woven subdued national emblem is factory hand applied, an EKII ribbon is originally applied to the second buttonhole and there are loops for a multi place ribbon bar, each cuff has machine applied metallic NCO Tresse 'piston rings', small belt hooks are sewn to the rear belt hook support positions, lovely garment showing pleasing light age, there are a couple of tiny moth holes to the center breast pocket pleat but one would have to look very closely to notice them, USD $3250
