A very nice family group to a father & son who both served with the Worcester regiment1) WW1 Pair, WW2 Defence & War Medal & GVIR Territorial Decoration dated 1942 to the reverseTo- LIEUT.F.A.ADAMSFrank Ashton Adams was commissioned in to the 2/8th Worcester Regiment & first Landed in France in April 1917. He was awarded the TD in the London gazette 17-11-1942 whilst serving on the Territorial Army Reserve of Officers.2) Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal & GVIR 1st type GSM 1918-1962 With Palestine 1945-48 claspTo- CAPT.R.A.ADAMS.WORC.RRobert Ashton Adams was the son of Frank Ashton Adams & attended Bromsgrove school between 1937 & 1941 when he was commissioned in to the Worcester Regiment & attached to the Kings African Rifles.He returned to his studies at the wars end & attended Birmingham university where he gained a BA in archaeology. He died in 2008 age 84.Both groups are GVF/NEF or better & are mounted as worn.
