Description
Impossible to upgrade, this is an excellent and seemingly unworn pair of original WWII German Luftwaffe pilot gloves in brown leather. The gloves are beautifully made with a supple finish and retain their full shape, showing only minimal storage wear. They feature functional PRYM-marked press buttons and a classic extended cuff design typical for flight use.The interior is clearly marked with an LBA(S)39 Luftwaffe acceptance stamp and appears to bear a maker's mark attributed to Friedrich Dorner, dated June 1939. Additionally, the gloves are unit marked to Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 72, adding strong historical context and desirability. The clear and legible markings make this pair especially attractive for collectors seeking well-documented examples.Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 72 was established on April 1, 1939 in Detmold and later redesignated as Flieger-Regiment 72 in November 1941. The unit was transferred to France in 1941 and ultimately dissolved in December 1942, contributing to the formation of the 10. Luftwaffen-Feld-Division. A superb and rare matching pair, ideal for advanced Luftwaffe or WWII aviation collections.
