WW1 1914-15 Trio & Memorial plaqueTo- S-3892.PTE.J.SANDERSON.R.HIGHRSJohn Sanderson was both born & enlisted in Hawick, Roxburghshire & first landed in France 10-5-1915 serving with the 8th battalion of the Black Watch. He went onto transfer to the 2nd battalion & sadly died in the Persian Gulf 29-6-1916. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Basra memorial & is recorded by the CWGC as the late 22 year old son of John & Margaret Sanderson of 3 Laing terrace, Hawick, Roxburghshire.NEF/GVF & Complete with MIC details.
