Third Reich 'Reichsbahn' Railroad Eagle

Third Reich 'Reichsbahn' Railroad Eagle. This is a 24 inch (60cms) wide example marked with 'LOK 600' indicating that it was intended for a locomotive (Lokomotive). The eagle is in very good condition showing great details and a nice patina. The eagle's eye and background of the Swastika are painted black, probably done by the US GI who took the eagle as a souvernir from the war. The eagle is nicely maker marked with 'PS' indicating production by the company of 'Bernhard Pinter' from Schwelm, it is also marked on the reverse with 'GAL-Mg Si'. It has four studs for mounting, all studs are complete with their rarely seen original nuts, see photos. This will be a great display piece in any collection.
