Description
Iron Cross 2nd class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with a magnetic iron core. The cross is maker marked with number '23' indicating production by the 'Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Heeresbedarf in der Graveur- und Ziselierer-Innung' from Berlin. The cross shows normal wear and great detail overall, the cross comes with its original ribbon as found. Nice original cross in good condition!
