US M1 steel front seam fixed bail helmet with liner by Westinghouse

Straight from the USA, a very nice and untouched US M1 helmet set in excellent condition. The steel shell is complete with its original chinstrap and is stamped 569C in the interior. The curved brim and front seam construction are typical for production by McCord, confirming its wartime WWII manufacture.The liner is in very good condition and maker marked by Westinghouse, a well-known wartime producer. The liner itself is a wartime example; the exterior finish shows a period repaint with added divisional decal (Korea-war period), as often seen on helmets that remained in service after the war, without detracting from its originality.A very attractive and original WWII helmet set with great display value. A fine example for collectors looking for a complete and authentic US M1 helmet from the Second World War.
