Description
German Weimar Period Army Combat Buckle w/ Leather Tab-This Reichsheer buckle would have been worn by an NCO or enlisted man during the period of 1921 through 1934. This early buckle is made of stamped, one-piece nickel silver. It has a pebbled background. There is a Weimar eagle in the center, with the text, 'Gott Mitt Uns' above him and a wreath below. The eagle shows only light wear, The feathers on the eagle remain quite strong. The finish on the front remains in the lowest details, giving this a great look. The majority of the finish is in place on the reverse. There is a brown leather tab that remains soft and supple. The tab has a nice maker stamp, for Friedrich Linden of Lüdenscheid. Overall, this is in good condition especially considering its age.
