US WWII Officer's Visor Cap

US WWII Officer's Visor Cap-This is a heavy duty visor cap made of high quality black felted wool. The wool of this visor is also felted, giving a very soft feel. This has a nice shape. The gold gilded E Pluribus eagle is in place on the front. This retains most of its gold finish. This also has excellent details. The center band feels like canvas, and is an olive green that complements the brownish green color of this cap. The brown chin strap and visor are both in very good condition. The two gold buttons on the chinstrap retain the majority of their gold finish. These have great details to the eagles. The underside of the visor shows wear but is still a nice brown color. This cap is lined in a dark brown oilcloth. The maker Dobbs can be seen on the well worn oilcloth. The square moisture shield in place. The name Bords St. Louis is stamped on the brown ersatz sweatband. This is a very cool US officer's cap.
