Cased Imperial Japanese Navy Officer's Visor Cap-This cap is made of a high quality blue wool. This navy is so dark it is almost black. This cap has a very good shape. The center band is ribbed black cotton. The insignia consists of a gold bullion wreath, a metal anchor and a metal chrysanthemum. Be aware that this insignia is coming loose from the cap. The black patent leather chinstrap and black leather visor have very slight age crazing but are otherwise very good. The interior is fully lined in dark rayon. The black sweatband is in very good condition but shows wear. The owner written his name onto a white, diamond shaped maker's tag. The maker's information is still attached.It is size 53.This visor cap comes with its original case. The case is made of green stiffened canvas with leather trim. The strap in the back that holds the lid on is broken. The leather strap at the top that acts as the case handle has a broken on the side. The front strap still functions to close the case. The case is lined in white cloth that shows use and discoloration from age and storage. Overall, this is in very good condition!
