You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht E.U.a4 Radio Umformer (Transformer / Power Supply), as used in conjunction with Panzer Radio Systems!The EUA4 (Energieumformer Anlage 4) was a power supply unit used in conjunction with German Wehrmacht radio communication systems during World War II. These units were designed to convert and regulate electrical input for field radios, allowing reliable operation under a variety of conditions, including vehicle-mounted and field-deployed configurations. As German communications relied heavily on dependable radio networks for command and control, power supply units such as the EUA4 played a critical role in maintaining operational effectiveness across all branches of the Wehrmacht.German radio systems of the period, including the widely used Torn.Fu. and FuG series, required stable and adaptable power sources depending on their deployment environment. Units like the EUA4 were engineered to integrate with these systems, providing the necessary voltage conversion and distribution to ensure consistent radio performance. Manufactured to wartime standards, these components reflect the robust and practical engineering typical of German communications equipment of the era. Surviving examples are increasingly difficult to find, particularly those retaining original components and data plates.Made of steel, aluminum, and bakelite, this E.U.a4 Umformer is in EXCELLENT used condition! It retains approximately 90% of its original dunkelgrau paint, with various scratches, marks, and wear from service and storage. The data plate is fully legible and dated 1944. Internally, it is 100% complete with no missing components; however, some internal contacts show corrosion from humidity and storage and would benefit from cleaning prior to use. The unit has not been tested. All external connections are present and intact with no issues. I have shown its location in the last images. Overall, a VERY NICE original WWII German radio power supply unit, ideal for display or restoration!
