British WWI Identified Visor Hat & Kilmarnock Bonnet, Royal Scots

Original period manufacture. Dark blue wool full dress Kilmarnock Bonnet with Royal Scots officer quality badge, W.Cater & Co makers label in the crown. Dark blue wool officers quality visor cap, again with an officers quality Royal Scots cap badge, with a W.Cater & Co. makers label. Original storage tin with the name A.J.L. Donaldson Royal Scots stenciled on the lid, brass W.Cater & Co tag. Both hat show light wear and use, with both showing mothing from longtime storage. The tin is a bit battered but soldiered on and protected its charges as best it could over the past 100 years. Doing a check on Ancestry, we find several listings for a Lieutenant A.J.L. Donaldson during the WWI years, earning the British trio while serving with the Royal Scots.
