Italian WWII Fascist Table Display, Segusium

Original period manufacture. Heavy cast brass table display measuring 13 inches in height. At center is the fasces symbol of ancient Rome, below a cylindrical base bearing the Latin word Segusium, the Roman name for a town in northern Italy, now modern day Susa. At the top of fasces is a threaded post, which at time secured a now missing finial.
