About the item: Very nice and in nice condition Reichsarbeitsdienst Sport(shirt) patch. Size is 12x14cm. About the RAD: The Reich Labour Service (German: Reichsarbeitsdienst, RAD) was a major paramilitary labor organization in Nazi Germany, created to combat unemployment, militarize the workforce, and promote Nazi ideology. The RAD was the official state labor service and had separate divisions for men and women. From June 1935, men aged 18 to 25 were required to serve in the RAD for six months before beginning their military service. During World War II, compulsory service extended to young women, and the RAD evolved into an auxiliary formation supporting the Wehrmacht, assisting in construction projects, fortifications, and logistical operations. The RAD played a significant role in Nazi Germany's social, economic, and military programs, making it a key part of the regime's labor and indoctrination system.
