OriginalGerman officer's map case (Kartentasche), early-war production, maker markedAlexander Hermes, 1936. Constructed from high-quality brown leather with reinforced stitching and internal dividers for maps and accessories. The reverse bears a rareunit marking, making this piece especially desirable for collectors of personalized or identified equipment. The leather remains supple with strong stitching, showing only light service wear. An excellent and early pre-war/early-war example of a map case, far harder to find than the later simplified wartime variants.
