1 October 1938 Medal

OriginalSudetenland Medal (1. Oktober 1938 Medaille), commonly referred to as the 'Anschluss Medal.' This award was instituted to commemorate the annexation of the Sudetenland into the German Reich. The obverse shows two figures, one holding the Reich flag, stepping onto the swastika-emblazoned podium, symbolizing unity. The reverse is inscribed'Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer.'This example comes complete with its original ribbon and remains in very good condition with only light age-related wear. A classic pre-war Third Reich award.
