Winterschlacht im Osten grouping

Original Eastern Front Medal (Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42), complete with its matching award citation (Verleihungsurkunde) and original issue paper packet (Verleihungstüte). The medal was awarded to German soldiers who served on the Eastern Front during the harsh winter campaign of 1941–42. Made of zinc with a darkened silver finish, it features a Wehrmacht eagle over a swastika above a crossed sword and grenade on the reverse. The award document is correctly filled out and dated, often naming the recipient and unit.
