Emperor Maximilian Silver Mexican Peso Coin1866

Original era manufacture. A rather historic coin struck during the ill-fated reign of Maximiliano Emperador 1 Peso1866. Younger brother of the Emperor Franz-Joseph of Austria and put on the throne of the French controlled Mexican Empire. He was executed by the victorious Mexican army in 1867. The coin is of silver and measures about 37mm.
