Japanese Meiji Era 1886 Pattern Infantry Hat, 1904-05 Russo Japanese War

Original era manufacture. Later syle Infantry enlisted hat as worn during the Russo-Japanese War 1904-05. Dark blue wool body and top with yellow piping and band. This hat displays an intact brown leather sweatband and full pink silk lining. The mothing is minimal for a hat of its age and scarcity and it displays well. The Chrysanthemum side buttons likely indicate wear by a senior NCO or Warrant Officer.
