Description

Original era manufacture. 6.5 inch diameter stamped steel food bowl with a blue/white enameled finish. On the bottom can be clearly seen the anchor emblem of the IJN. This bowl was recovered from the island of Peleliu in the 1980's. It was told to us by the individual who found it, that the bowls were found in stacks in caves occupied by the Japanese defenders. Scattered damage to the enamel finish, no holes.
