Description
Item DescriptionOriginal Items. Only One Group Available. This is an interesting WWII AAF blood chit group with a tag attributing the items to Lieutenant Joseph J. Bogart, a pilot with the 14th Air Force in China who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. The items include:- Silk U.S. Flag blood chit measuring 8 x 11 ½' with heavy tear on the left side.- 7 x 9 ½' USAAF Pacific Theater Blood Chit - Chinese National Flag. This example is heavily torn in multiple places and is likely missing material along the edges. It is numbered 10239 and is missing a temple stamp. Both of the chits appear to have come together but certainly have extreme wear and damage.- Reproduction Flying Tigers patch.- Reproduction leather AAF patch.- Original China Burma India CBI patch with remnants of uncut cloth.- Small label maker tag reading 'JOE J. BOGART 14 AF PILOT'We have no provenance to link this to Bogart. We found in a newspaper article that he was awarded the DFC, but we have no further information about his unit or his service past being in China with the 14th Air Force.Ready for further research and display.Shipping RestrictionsThis product is available for international shipping.Payment OptionsEligible for all payments - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, Paypal & Sezzle
