Original Japanese WWII Army Tank Automatic Transmission Fluid Box with Internal Wooden Dividers

This is a scarce Imperial Japanese metal crate for the storage and transportation of Automatic Transmission Fluid Oil cans, none of which are still present. The three visible letters on the lid appear to read箱油脂which brings up ATF or Automati Transmission Fluid. And on the interior are six symbols in a large space which translate to'Canned oil, medium'.The crate when closed measures 13 ½ x 15 ¾ x 4 ¾' and is in good condition without any serious oxidation. The box has two retained hooks at two corners which were certainly for attachment to a tank or vehicle. Weights about 12.5lbs empty.Both latches are in good functional condition but there is heavy wear to the exterior of the case. The interior lid has a label which has been entirely blacked out.
