Item DescriptionOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice German WWII Era Cased Presentation 'Table Medal', a relatively award usually displayed on a shelf or table, as the name implies. The medal itself measures about 2 3/8' in diameter, and is 3mm thick, made of gilt die struck bronze alloy. It comes in a very nice satin and velvet lined case measuring about 3 3/8' square, with a functional hinge and lock. The top of the box is marked in gold as follows:Ehrenpreisdes Gaus Nr. 33GöttingenThis directly translates to 'Honorary Award of District No. 33, Göttingen', though we have not been able to find out exactly for what reason these were distributed, as they appear to have been available in gold and silver grades. The award itself shows an NSAP Reichsadler Eagle at the top perched on a swas, and below this is the coat of arms of Göttingen, which shows three towers above a Lion. On either side of the coat of arms is the date8. 2. 37., and around the bottom of the medal is15. JAHRE NSDAP IN GĂTTINGEN(15. YEARS OF THE NSDAP IN GĂTTINGEN).The reverse of the medal is plain, and marked with withJFS in a Rectangle, the logo ofJosef Feix & Söhne of Gablonz. This city was part of the so-called 'Sudetenland' during WWII. Today it is known as Jablonec nad Nisou in the Czech Rebublic. Below this isD.R.G.M.(Deutsches Reiches Gebrauchs Musterschutz) - meaning it is a protected patented design under the Reich Government. The very bottom is marked with (RZM) M/183, which is an early pre-war code for JFS, which does not correspond to any of the later classifications.A very nice example, ready to add to your collection and display!Shipping RestrictionsThis product is available for international shipping.Shipping not available to: Australia, France, or GermanyPayment OptionsNot eligible for payment with Paypal or AmazonLegal InformationDue to legal restrictions this item cannot be shipped to Australia, France or Germany.
