French M1822 Cavalry Officers Sword, 1877 Dated

Original era manufacture. This is a nice sword. Very clean 36 inch polished steel blade with clear markings on the spine and a Paris retailer's logo on the ricasso. It hasn't been sharpened, there are no nicks in the edge and the point is sharp. No corrosion issues, appears to be in original polish, just needs a light cleaning. Gilded brass basket guard with a white buff leather bumper, the original owners initials have been engraved into the pommel. Carved horn grip with twisted silver wire binding. Highly polished steel scabbard with two carrying rings, no dents or corrosion damage. We should keep this one, buy it before we do....
