Item DescriptionOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of a scarce Vietnam War Flight Suit in the world famous Tigerstripe Camouflage pattern! Most closely associated with U.S. Marine Corps Aviators, these suits were worn by anyone who could purchase one. They have been observed in period photographs with Army and Air Force Aviators as well. These suits were also made famous by the 1991 film Flight of the Intruder where Willem Dafoe's character wore a suit very similar to this while piloting his Douglas A-1 Skyraider. This particular flight suit is a good example of a suit made in Japanese sewing shops during the 1960's. The suit features anOKbrand front zipper andVENUSbrand pocket zippers, all of which are still functional. The suit features zippers at each leg and arm cuff, two zippered chest pockets, two flat panel zippered thigh pockets, two gusseted zippered pockets on each calf, and a zipper front. On the left breast is an embroidered set of Pilot wings over the embroidered nameLT. FUNToverU.S.A.F.. There are also Lieutenant bars embroidered on the shoulders. We were unable to identify Lieutenant Funt, but there is more research to be done. The only marking to be found was67under the collar, possibly the size. These have always been incredibly hard to find, and when found, commanded a great deal of money. We were lucky enough to have obtained this suit for much less, and we are carrying this on to our customers! Ready for display!Approximate MeasurementsCollar to shoulder: 10.5'Shoulder to sleeve: 20'Shoulder to shoulder: 16'Chest width: 21'Waist: 16.5'Front length: 58'Shipping RestrictionsThis product is available for international shipping.Payment OptionsEligible for all payments - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, Paypal & Sezzle
