Japanese WWII Army Type 95 Army NCO Sword, Matching, Korkura, Iijima Sword Factory

Original era manufacture. This example is right out of a local estate and exhibits a dark and untouched patina. Matching numbers blade to scabbard of 57186, with a clean blade, no nicks to the cutting edge with some age darkening to the tip. The blade surface shows some scouring from a poor attempt at sharpening the edge. Their lack of talent was so great they completely missed the edge, the result being a very shallow pattern of swirls in the blade surface, mostly located in the mid section of each side. Cast brass tsuba with a deep patina, most of the original paint remains on the handle with pommel loop. The scabbard is dent free and displays a mix of steel patina and original paint, with some tiny dots of white garage paint.
