Item DescriptionOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very nicely woven Spanish American War 100 round ammo belt, for the new M1892 Krag-Jørgensen Service Rifle. The design is essentially an adaptation of the earlier belt for the .45-70 government cartridges used by the Springfield Trapdoor rifle. Instead of having 50 large bullet loops, the belt has 50 double loops, each holding two rounds of ammunition.The Adjoiner clip is stamped:PAT. The web belt is soft and pliable and in fine condition, but some of the loops are missing the dividing strip in the middle that separates the two rounds. This example retains a great US Buckle which is not maker-marked.
