French 19th Century M1854 Dragoon Sword & Scabbard

Original era manufacture. 36 inch polished steel blade with double fullers on each side running its entire length. The blade shows markings of manufacture at the Chatellerault aresenal in 1874 with modifications being performed in 1882. Brass four branch guard and pommel with typical dings and dents from service use. Simple wooden replacement grip done in more recent times. The blade is straight and true and points very well. Dent-free steel scabbard with a light gray painted exterior. Nice restoration project.
