US Civil War Union Officer CDV, Identified,

Original era photography. Clear cdv image of a Union officer wearing an identity badge on his chest. Cincinnati photographers backmark and tax stamp. Written at the base of the cdv is Capt.Askin in a nice hand. We looked him up in the Civil War Data reseach base and found a Captain Robert M Askin who had served with the 32nd Missouri Infantry which was discharged at Louisville Ky in 1865.
